Big Board Analysis:

#14:

Nickeil Alexander-Walker seems to be the best option for them as we don’t really know what their roster will look like whatsoever given their contract situations. That combo guard ability that he would bring could be used regardless of their roster breakdown. If he’s gone, someone like Tyler Herro might make sense. He’s a terrific shooter who will be lethal from NBA 3 point range in time.

#20:

We have PJ Washington as their #1 option with this pick. It’d be a little surprising if he were to fall this far, but if he does, the Celtics could use a high IQ player like PJ. If he is gone (as well as Goga Bitadze who we expect to be) and they don’t elect to go for Tyler Herro with their first pick, Cam Johnson would be the ideal selection here.

#22:

There isn’t much difference between these 2 picks obviously, but we wanted to provide you with some more players they may be looking at. The one that we wanted to highlight was Nic Claxton. What you might be thinking is that Robert Williams is still there so why would they select Claxton, but we think they could still work. Claxton is extremely versatile defensively and has true potential as a small ball 5.

#51:

The Celtics do have a lot of depth and can afford to stash someone. That’s where Charles Matthews comes in. He just recently tore his ACL, but is a fantastic defender. Matthews has true 3 and D potential and could fit into the Boston rotation following his recovery. Tre Waters is another interesting player we wanted to mention because the Celtics may be in need of a point guard if 1 of Terry Rozier or Kyrie Irving end up leaving. Waters is a smart player and arguably the best passer in this draft.

Rumors/Trades:

Celtics interested in trading up for No. 4 pick
