Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson gave us another reminder of his ability to scorch at any time on Monday night. Thompson went for 52 points against the Chicago Bulls, including 14 made threes, setting a new NBA record for a single game.

Thompson’s Splash Brother Stephen Curry apparently encouraged him to “go get it” at halftime since he already hit 10 in the first half.

Klay has gone for these outbursts like the 37-point quarter against Sacramento in 2015. The 60-point game in 29 minutes against Indiana in 2016. The 41 points and 11 threes in Game 6 against OKC of the 2016 Western Conference Finals. Each time it’s the most horrific reminder of what the Warriors are capable of when you’re not prepared for that kind of potential onslaught.

Golden State scored 92 points in the first half against Chicago and 149 for the game. Klay Thompson only had to play 27 minutes to make three more three-pointers than the entire Bulls team combined.
