Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook averaged a triple-double during his 2016-17 regular season campaign and led his squad to the Western Conference’s 6th seed, which coalesced itself into the NBA’s MVP award for Mr. “Why Not?”

Although they fell in five games to Westbrook’s former running mate James Harden and his Houston Rockets in the first round of the playoffs, Westbrook captivated the entire basketball universe with a ferocious revenge tour that saw him transform into the People’s Champ after many years of being maligned for his unconventional approach to the point guard position.
