Marcus Morris is a name that we’ll hear quite often prior to the trade deadline on February 6th as he is having a great season with the Knicks. Morris is averaging over 19 points per game on the season on an incredible 46.9% shooting from deep. Many teams will want to trade for him and one that might look into trading for him is the Lakers.
Per our very own Scoop B:
Lakers are revisiting this via a trade per reports https://t.co/iZ2U9cAJoJ

The Lakers have had trouble shooting from deep this season as they rank outside the top 20 in 3-pointers made. Marcus Morris could change that in a big way.
So, what could they offer the Knicks? We’ve seen Kyle Kuzma and Avery Bradley’s name thrown around a great deal lately, but it’s unclear what the Knicks would want at this stage. What is clear is the fact that the Lakers will be buyers at the deadline and want a shooter. (That’s also why they have looked into acquiring Bogdan Bogdanovic.)
On the defensive end Morris would certainly help the Lakers, but they still need another ball handler. If they go the direction of acquiring someone like Darren Collison, then getting a third scoring option in Marcus Morris is indeed something that could move the needle even more for the Lakers as they make their championship run.
