The gambling gods have continued to be kind to this column, as my college basketball gambling picks finished 4-1 in the last edition. With conference play now fully under swing and an awesome card on deck tonight, here are my six favorite bets for Tuesday.

Year to Date Record: 7-2

Providence (+6) at Marquette and Under 145.5, 7:00 PM FS1

Providence got off to a rough start this season, but they’re playing good ball right now and are 2-0 in Big East play. Ed Cooley’s club is very talented and finally starting to gel, and are catching Marquette in a potential letdown spot after their upset win over Villanova on Saturday.

Virginia (-9) at Boston College, 7:00 p.m. ACCN

This is a lot of points to cover on the road, but Boston College’s 2-0 ACC record is deceiving, and I don’t see how they’ll score enough against this elite Virginia defense to keep it close.

Penn State (-1) at Rutgers, 7:00 p.m. BTN

Rutgers opened as a two point favorite, but I agree with the line movement in Penn State’s direction. The Scarlet Knights’ 11-3 record is inflated from an easy schedule to date, and they’ll have a tough time keeping up with the Nittany Lions without injured star guard Geo Baker.

Temple (+2) vs. Houston, 7:00 p.m. CBSSN

I think there is a lot of value in buying low on Temple here, as the Owls are coming off an ugly 26 point loss at Tulsa. This is an opponent they’ll be up for and a great opportunity for the Owls to bounce back at home in a big way.

Central Michigan (-3.5) vs. Northern Illinois, 7:00 p.m. ESPN+

This play is mostly a fade of Northern Illinois, who’s looking at a major letdown spot after a big upset win at Buffalo on Saturday. Winning back to back conferences road games is always tough, and I don’t think the Huskies can pull it off against a quality Central Michigan team.
