Piggeé becomes the second high school player to sign with the brand.

After recently announcing its first NIL athlete signing, multimedia brand Basketball Society has announced the signing of Rutgers Prep senior guard Cameron Piggeé. The deal names Piggeé as a brand influencer collaborating with the brand on social media campaigns and other efforts.

Piggeé joins his teammate Jadin Collins who recently signed with the brand. Piggeé will be featured in the documentary “PIGGEÉ” presented by Basketball Society in 2023.

“Cam has been diligent about developing into an exceptional player and person,” said Basketball Society founder Martin Soaries. “His persistence and commitment to excellence are what make him ideal to represent this brand. I’m proud that he can now officially be part of its identity.”

Cameron was named First Team All-Division scoring over 400 points and leading his team with 62 threes in his junior season. He currently holds college offers from Lafayette and NJIT. Cameron maintains a 4.2 GPA and has made honors with distinction every semester of his high school career. He was the recipient of the 2020 Rutgers Prep August Daviet Award for excellence in academics and athletics.

“To be signed by Basketball Society is a big deal for me because I’ve been around the brand for years and to see the way that it’s been able to progress is very inspirational,” said Piggeé. “To know that the brand not only contributes to the basketball aspect of my life, but also mentally and spiritually, makes me feel really proud to represent it.”

Basketball Society was created by Soaries in 2014 and has organically evolved into a nationally recognized and credentialed independent media brand. Aside from building a social media following that reaches over 100,000 people monthly across all channels, Basketball Society has also hosted community events including camps and clinics for skills training development. The brand has featured and collaborated with some of the top high school and college basketball players in the country.

“Once people understand that the brand is a representation of not only basketball but many other things, they’ll come into tune and tap in with us,” said Piggeé. “I know that people will support how I will be able to represent the brand.”
