Tonight, we have a couple of interesting lines being posted. Obviously, most lines won’t be posted for this entire week, but I am going to provide a few of the best college basketball bets for tonight and then a few upsets we could see this week.

Tennessee (15-12) @ Arkansas (17-10) -4.5

The last time these two teams met, Tennessee easily handled Arkansas by winning by a score of 21. That’s why I’m thinking the odds-makers made this line quite tight (given that Arkansas is at home). Isaiah Joe was out that game though and he is one of the premier guards in the nation.

Arkansas has both Joe and Mason Jones, two fantastic guards. The Razorbacks should pull out a W here in a high scoring affair. They are going to light up the box score and I wouldn’t be surprised if both teams easily end up hitting the over on the 132 game line that is being set.

#9 Maryland (22-5) +1 @ Minnesota (13-13)

Listen, I know that Maryland has struggled on the road and they just lost at Ohio State. But, this line seems way too low for a top 10 team in the nation. They are the underdogs going up against Minnesota who is 11th in the Big Ten. This is no slight to Minnesota though as Daniel Oturu is a fantastic big and they have some pretty impressive wins to date.

But, with all of that being said, Maryland is going to play with a fire lit under them. Anthony Cowan, Jalen Smith, Aaron Wiggins, and company will have a great game in what I believe is the safest bet to make tonight.

Later this week:

UTSA (12-15) ML @ FAU (15-13)

This game is on Thursday in South Florida. UTSA has the 2nd leading scorer in the country in Jhivvan Jackson who is a straight sniper from deep. He can fill it up in a hurry and should eclipse 25 points in this game. FAU is coming off a good win at home against UAB, but I expect the high scoring backcourt of Jackson and Keaton Wallace to do enough for UTSA to get the upset.

Davidson (15-12) +10 or above @ #4 Dayton (26-2)

I’m not calling an upset in this game, although I CAN see it happen. I am assuming that Dayton will be given a line of about -14.5 at home. Again, it is not set yet. Davidson has been playing well as of late and Kellan Grady is starting to look like his freshman self. He has three straight 20 point outings and has shot the rock very well these last two games. Davidson will give Obi Toppin and Dayton a run for their money and I am fairly confident that they will keep it within 10 points throughout the game.

Providence (16-12) ML @ #12 Villanova (21-6)

This is the biggest upset that I’m calling this week. This game will be this Saturday. A small wager on Providence would be a safe bet. Providence is on a hot streak coming off of wins against Big East leader Seton Hall, Georgetown, and Marquette. Providence just seems like they are beginning to figure it out.

Villanova is a very good team and they too have been playing well since the Seton Hall game. They have a game Wednesday before this one, but either way it seems like Providence will cause problems for Nova.
