Louisiana Tech entered this game today as one of the top defensive teams in the nation and a clear favorite against the struggling UTSA. UTSA had already lost two games in Conference USA to FIU and Florida Atlantic and it seemed likely that they’d take another loss to DaQuan Bracey and top seeded Louisiana Tech. Jhivvan Jackson had other ideas though.

Entering the game, Jhivvan Jackson only trailed Marquette’s Markus Howard in the country in points per game. Markus was averaging 26.8 while Jhivvan was close behind with 25.3. Jhivvan put on an absolutely dominant performance on national TV to creep ever so closer to that top spot in points.

Jhivvan Jackson finished with 37 points and 8 threes in today’s 89-73 win. He also added 6 assists so don’t think he was just chucking. He made the right reads at the right time and was just cashing in tough shots all night.

Check out some of his best clips from the game below:

This was already Jhivvan’s 7th 30 point game of the season. UTSA seems to have turned a corner with this game. You should expect more and more exciting performances like this one going forward for Jhivvan Jackson.

He is one of those players that you absolutely need to watch play. Not many players have the talent that he possesses.
