It seems that Kobe Bryant is slowly losing his battle with Father Time.
He was diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff Friday afternoon, after he injured himself dunking the ball against Phoenix. It will be interesting to see how Bryant handles what maybe another season-ending injury. We all know he is a warrior and a competitor, but will Kobe face reality and call it quits? The 19-year veteran released a short video this morning taking us into his appointment with the specialist. The doctor explains to Kobe that his ligament is pulled off the bone and Bryant, with a blank stare replies,
It’s interesting to see because we’re not used to Kobe being so up close and personal with the world. He describes the video as:
“This is the moment I accept the most challenging times will always be behind me AND in front of me.”
I’m not sure if this will lead into an ongoing series, but I’m sure fans would enjoy watching Kobe’s journey on returning from this unfortunate injury.
