It’s the Atlanta Hawks vs. Oklahoma City Thunder. I’ve said this many times but it bears repeating: WHAT IS HAPPENING THIS YEAR?!? THESE TEAMS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FLIPPED. The perennial 8th seed contender Atlanta Hawks are cruising and the talented OKC is fighting for their lives. The Hawks (35-8) are on a 14 game winning streak fueled by Spursian spacing, movement and 3 point shooting. The Thunder (22-20) have been winning often but have to work fast to make up for the early losses racked up when Durant and Westbrook were injured.

Will the Hawks streak continue versus arguably the most dangerous team in the West fueled by last years MVP and the freakishly athletic Westbrook. Tonight the Hawks streak will not come to an end; Millsap and Horford inside will be a tough match up for Serge Ibaka and either Adams or Perkins. They really like to be active on picks and both have the ability to make a 12 footer if asked. The Hawks ability to stretch the floor will triumph over the average OKC defense while the Hawks will be tasked with stifling KD and Westbrook without much fear of the other starters.

Here’s Kyle Korver dunking for the first time in a long time.

MY PREDICTION

HAWKS 103 THUNDER 100
