The Los Angeles Lakers are a leagues best 18-2 through the first quarter of the NBA season and they are being led by the world’s best player in LeBron James.

Some may call him washed, but all LeBron does is laugh those comments off.

In addition to powering the Lakers to the best record in the league, leads the Association in assists with 11.0 APG.

In Los Angeles’ 112-107 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on November 19th, LeBron became the first player ever to record a triple-double against all 30 NBA franchises.

Basketball Society’s own Randy King was joined by NBA insider Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson on this week’s Lakers Lair episode to discuss ‘The King’s’ MVP candidacy.

“He (LeBron James) is playing exciting basketball and is currently the MVP. His endurance over the course of this stretch SEPARATES him from the competition.” – Brandon ‘Scoop b’ Robinson

“With LeBron missing the postseason last year, this is going to be the healthiest and most hungry LeBron that we have ever seen in his whole career.” – Randy King

  • Which addition through either the buyout market or free agency could potentially be a good fit for this Lakers unit?
  • Does Los Angeles have one of the best benches in basketball?
  • Which Western Conference teams outside of the Los Angeles Clippers, should the Lakers worry about in the postseason?
