Landon Taliaferro is a name that you might not know by now, but the senior put a performance on today that surely should put his name on the map.
Since joining Fairfield last year, Taliaferro has been a consistent force from behind the arc including a game last year where he put up 29 points with 8 makes from deep in a loss to Rider. This year, he had another unforgettable night, but this time they were able to get the W against a SEC school.
Today, Landon Taliaferro dropped 34 points and had 10 made threes (!!!). Here at Basketball Society, we always try to shine light on those hoopers who don’t nearly get enough credit when they have an outstanding game. Taliaferro perfectly fits that bill after his performance today against Texas A&M.
Here is a thread of all of the threes that Landon made today. In the first half, A&M was running a zone and Landon kept finding open spaces on the wing to spot up. As Texas A&M made defensive changes in the 2nd half, Landon had to do more running off ball to get open and coach Sydney Johnson kept running plays for the hot hand.
