If you’ve been paying attention to the social media landscape in the last 24-48 hours, you probably know that Isaiah Thomas called the city of Cleveland a “hole of poop” and has since apologized.

“I shouldn’t have said that,” said Thomas.

“That was my fault. Cleveland was actually cool, it was all right.”

Thomas was bothered by a hip injury, played 15 games last season for the Cleveland Cavaliers after being traded by the Boston Celtics and before being sent to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Thomas signed with Denver as a free agent last month.

I think he’ll be great,” NBA free agent and fellow Seattle native, Jamal Crawford told me over the weekend on the Scoop B Radio Podcast.

“I know the chip on his shoulder is huge, it’s like a boulder for him.  I know his preparation, I know how bad he wants it, I know how great he is, I know how great he will be.”

A year and a half ago, Thomas and Golden State Warriors guard, Steph Curry were mentioned in the same breath. Thomas lead the Boston Celtics to the Eastern Conference Finals in his magical 2016-2017 season.

Jamal Crawford also talked free agency on Scoop B Radio.

“In Denver it’ll be a different role than he had being in Sacramento as the point, but he’ll figure it out,” Crawford assured.

“I have no doubt he’ll have a huge impact in helping that team get to the playoffs.  I really believe that. I think he’ll have a terrific year, and he’ll be able to get back to the player free agent market next summer.”
