LeBron James has recently ended his Striving for Greatness series which has been appearing on his “Uninterrupted” Facebook page. The series entails 5 short, 360-degree videos that gives the viewer a little insight on the day-to-day dedication and preparation that LeBron James goes through to be great. It features workouts with some of his teammates, pool workouts and even LeBron doing yoga. It’s something that I came across recently that I thought was inspiring and very motivational.
I suggest all athletes take a moment to watch this series. We all want to be best without doing what it takes, but as you can see in these videos, being the best takes a lot of HARD WORK!
LeBron James is a 4-time League MVP, 2-time NBA Champion, and a 2-time Olympic Gold Medalist. He’s sat in the throne at the top of the league for many years now and has been stated by many as, “The best basketball player on the planet.” But what I love about this Strive for Greatness series is that the King isn’t complacent. Even though many people think he’s great and he has all the accolades to show for it, he still busts his ass on a day-to-day basis to be the #1 player on the floor.
That goes for all young aspiring basketball players to see because even when you think your good, there’s still room to get better.
“I can finally say that I’m a champion, and I did it the right way. I didn’t shortcut anything. You know, I put a lot of hard work and dedication in it, and hard work pays off.” – LeBron James after winning his first championship.
