Harrison Barnes covets a new contract with the Golden State Warriors, and although he’s yet to ink a new deal with the team he captured an NBA championship with last season, he’s hopeful one will get done in the near future.
In the meantime, Barnes’ main focus is playing the best basketball he can to justify his asking price to the Warriors’ brass. Barnes didn’t play well in Golden State’s season-opening rout of the New Orleans Pelicans, but he looked more like his normal self in their Friday night win over the Houston Rockets, who have become somewhat of a rival ever since the two squared off in last year’s Western Conference Finals.
In the first quarter of Golden State’s 112-92 win, Barnes was iso’ed on the wing with Trevor Ariza, glided past him with ease and then elevated for a huge slam over Dwight Howard. The best part of this video is Andre Iguodala and the usher’s reaction:
In all seriousness: between Iguodala and the usher, this is the best poster dunk celebration ive ever seen. https://t.co/fncY5LjIjC
