New Orleans Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis is ballyhooed as the NBA’s next big thing and rightfully so, but let’s not gloss over the fact that Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins has dominated their eleven head-to-head matchup’s thus far.
Cousins may have hit a snag in the dominance department during the Kings’ preseason bout against the Pelicans on Saturday afternoon at the two big men’s alma mater Kentucky (Cousins fouled out after scoring 19 points on 4-13 shooting, with five turnovers), but Boogie still managed to register a memorable moment when he flushed down a mean dunk on Davis’ head.

I love how Cousins sheds the lunging Kendrick Perkins with a beautiful ball-fake then uses his physicality to overpower Davis.
Cousins’ Kings won the contest 107-98, but Davis can still boast that his 2012 Kentucky Wildcats team captured the National Championship, something Cousins’ squad which included the likes of John Wall, Eric Bledsoe and Patrick Patterson failed to do. Cousins contends that Davis’ squad wouldn’t stand a chance against his Kentucky team, but that’s a debate for another day.
