Trying to stop one of the Splash Brothers is hard enough, so when they’re both feeling it, you know you’re in for a long night. And it was that kind of night for the Golden State Warriors. Steph Curry ended the night one rebound shy of a triple double, scoring 31 points, dishing 10 assists, and grabbing 9 rebounds. His right-hand man Klay Thompson, led all scorers with 39 points and 6 rebounds of his own. It was a hot night for these two as they combined for 16 threes, shooting 59% from behind the arc. And I mean you knew it was hot night when guys are banking corner threes…

Dirk Nowitzki led his team in scoring with 24 points and he also had 9 rebounds but things seem to be slipping for the Dallas Mavericks. With this loss, it accounts for the 7th in the past 8 games. Their record dropped to 34-35, barely hanging on to that 8th seed with the Utah Jazz coming right up on their tails.

Still chasing history, the Golden State Warriors have a big contest tonight against the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs are undefeated at home this season and have beaten the Warriors on their home court in the past 32 matches. But this year is a new year and anything can happen. The Warriors are two games ahead of the ’96 Bulls’ pace when they broke the NBA record and the Spurs are great in their own right, only 4 games behind Golden State. This game will surely be one to watch, granted both coaches don’t rest all of their players, but I will definitely be glued to the TV and you should be to!
