Gasol injured the knee during Wednesday night’s loss to the Houston Rockets, a game in which he only played 25 minutes. After the contest, Gasol revealed that he was being bothered by knee soreness throughout the night.
Gasol, who is averaging a career high 19.4 points per game this year, is an early-season favorite for the MVP award, along with Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry.
Memphis currently trails Golden State by half-a-game for the Western Conference’s first seed.
