Kyle Korver is fourth on the NBA’s all-time three-point field goals list, so it would be reasonable to not let him have too many open looks.
But on Thursday night against the Denver Nuggets, Korver had a plethora of open shots — and he took advantage of them, too. The Utah Jazz defeated the Denver Nuggets 111-104, and Korver scored 22 points off the bench, making 6 three-pointers. He tied a season-high for scoring and three-pointers, both of which he set earlier in the season while with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In the video above, Korver benefited from Derrick Favors drawing help defense in the paint. As Favors commanded attention, Korver was in the corner on the baseline for an easy three-pointer. Korver scored 16 points in the second half, and he also made four of his three-pointers in the second half.
With Korver helping the Jazz’s offense, Utah was able to go on multiple scoring spurts in the second half. At one point in the fourth quarter, the Jazz went on a 13-0 run, and Korver scored eight of the Jazz’s points during that span.
As the Jazz move to 35-26, they’re ranked sixth in the Western Conference. Korver, a 15-year veteran, has long been a staple for teams because of his ability to shoot the ball well. As the Jazz continue to prepare for the playoffs, Korver could play a key role in helping the Jazz maintain their standing in the West.
