Basketball Society will be providing DFS recommendations for some of the lower priced players who should stand out. All of the prices are based off of Draft Kings and we will be suggesting all players $5500 or below.
Here are some of our suggestions today:
PG: Derrick Rose ($4400)
PG: Lonzo Ball ($5500)
Derrick Rose had a fantastic game Saturday night posting 28 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds that equated to 47.3 fantasy points. Tonight, he’s got the Pacers on the horizon. While the Pacers are a better defensive test than the Mavericks, expect another solid night from Rose whose stock is only going up.
Lonzo Ball should get the start tonight with Rajon Rondo suspended. With LeBron alongside him, we’re still uncertain the kind of fantasy impact Ball can make, but this is a good chance for him to prove his worth.
SG/PG: Terry Rozier ($4800)
SG/SF Evan Fournier ($5300)
Terry Rozier hasn’t been able to get enough minutes to warrant a start in a lineup yet. But, we see the Celtics utilizing him a lot more today. As long as there’s a sizable win for the Celtics against the Magic which we expect, Rozier should see plenty of play.
Evan Fournier has been extremely hot as of late. Last game against the 76ers he went for 45 fantasy points. It’d be hard to imagine another dominant performance like that from him, but the Magic are going to need all of the help they can get to try to contend with the Celtics so watch for Fournier to start chucking and put up some solid numbers.
SF/PF: Jae Crowder ($4700)
SF: Dorian Finney-Smith ($4100)
We have Jae Crowder in there because we fully expect him to continue to earn more and more minutes. He’s looked fantastic defensively, as expected, and should continue to see run out there. A nice lead against the Grizzlies could help him see even more time.
Finney-Smith is definitely not a lock to have a terrific game given how much talent is on that Mavericks starting lineup. But, with that being said, they’ll have Dorian out there a lot to try to guard the likes of Bobby Portis and Jabari Parker. We are expecting a stuffed stat sheet from him tonight with possibly a double-double to boot.
PF/SF: Kyle Kuzma ($5500)
PF: Jaren Jackson Jr. ($5200)
Kyle Kuzma is a pretty safe start tonight with both Rondo and Ingram on suspension. They are going to need someone to step in and take shots and Kuzma is one of those guys who has no fear in doing so.
Jaren Jackson Jr. should be getting the start tonight with JaMychal Green out with injury. This is our MUST START of the night. JJJ has done a fine job off the bench and now will get starter minutes. Expect a huge showing from the rook.
C/PF: Kevon Looney ($4000)
C: JaVale McGee ($4900)
Kevon Looney has been getting the most minutes out of the big men off the bench for the Warriors. He has to go up against Ayton and Tyson Chandler tonight and he’ll have plenty of opportunity to stack up some boards.
JaVale McGee and the Lakers are going against the Spurs, a team that loves to have LaMarcus Aldridge and Pau Gasol out there, two guys who are your modern traditional big man. McGee will see solid minutes and should easily see north of 10 rebounds.
