Brook Lopez is a tough player to watch if you love watching athletic eye popping plays. But, that isn’t to say that Brook Lopez isn’t an entertaining player to watch.

Brook is like a gila monster. One of the slowest creatures in the world, a gila monster rarely moves at all in a given day.

But, when that gila monster gets on the move, OH IT’S SOMETHING SPECIAL.

(To be honest, I have no idea how a gila monster moves, but just be cool.)

barney can you just be cool

Just like a gila monster, Brook Lopez isn’t too quick of a player, but when he gets to his post-moves, it’s just a thing of beauty.

Last night against the Toronto Raptors, you saw some of that brilliance from Brook Lopez. He finished with 35 points, 7 blocks, and 5 rebounds while shooting 13 for 17 from the field.

In fact, Brook Lopez became one of only 7 players to ever post a game of at least 35 points and 7 blocks while shooting above 70% from the field. Yao Ming was the last to do it in 2006.

The other 5 players? David Robinson, Hakeem Olajuwon, Alonzo Mourning, Patrick Ewing, and Shaquille O’Neal.

Wow, is that a list.

Brook’s been having an incredible season and has a chance to continue to put up some truly incredible numbers like he did last night now that Joe Johnson is in Miami.
