When I saw last night that Orlando Magic guard Victor Oladipo threw down a rim-rattling jam over LeBron James, I was thrilled. First and foremost I love watching the Orlando Magic and their crop of young players blossom and bloom. Second of all, I was happy that I had the opportunity to belt out “HOLA O’DIPO” throughout my home. If you aren’t familiar with what I’m referring to, let the man who constructed “The Blueprint” give you a quick lesson.
Watch Victor glide through the air, get slapped on the arm by James, lose the ball, re-capture it and then throw it down:
Orlando, who had the lead for majority of the game, was torched by James in the fourth quarter. James scored 15 of his 29 points in the fourth, and led the Cavaliers 98-89 victory.
The seriously troubled Cavaliers defense stifled the Magic during the fourth, holding them to 14 points in the period, a period in which Kevin Love didn’t see the floor. David McMenamin of ESPN tweeted out some interesting numbers regarding the Cleveland’s D last night when Love was not on the court:
From ESPN Stats & Info: ORL shot 57% with Kevin Love on the floor Friday, including 70% in paint. With Love on bench? 35% & 33% in paint
