Zach LaVine won the 2015 NBA Sprite Dunk Contest and is known around the NBA strictly for dunking. In the dunk contest, he did a behind the back dunk which erupted the packed house at the Barclay’s Center.

As a rookie, Zach LaVine is already known as one of the best dunkers in the NBA. He is a point guard that stands 6’6″ with freakish athletic ability. Most point guards set up dunkers, but it is the opposite for LaVine. His first NBA points came off of an alley oop in the NBA Summer League.

Zach Lavine can alley oop anything. As long as he can catch it with one hand, he can slam it through the rim. Here Zach Lavine takes dunking to the next level.

Zach LaVine will be in the NBA Dunk Contest until he retires or his knees give out. He is the spark the NBA needed in a competition that less people were watching. If LaVine is in the competition, I can’t see him losing. LaVine is the start of the next generation of dunkers. If a rookie can successfully dunk behind the back with millions watching, more impressive dunks are coming.
