Zach LaVine has set a new Minnesota Timberwolves rookie scoring record in a game with 37 points tonight against the Golden State Warriors. Christian Laettner had the previous record of 35 points which was held for 23 years.
LaVine was unstoppable in the game and played at a much more controlled pace than we have been accustomed to see from him earlier this year. Curry and the rest of the Warriors who defended Zach gave him the space to hit the shot, knowing how quickly he can get to the rim, and he took advantage of that.
Zach LaVine shot 13/21 from the field including 6/10 from 3 and 5/5 from the line. LaVine finished with 37 points 9 rebounds and 4 assists on only 3 turnovers during a career night.
