Kevin Durant and the new look Golden State Warriors made their presence felt in dominant fashion against the Clippers in preseason action. They torched the Los Angeles Clippers 120-75 which included 30 points from Klay Thompson and 21 points from Kevin Durant. It was an astonishing performance all around for the Warriors as they put up 35 points in the first quarter and 71 points in the first half. Although it was only just a preseason game, it’s becoming more frightening to imagine just what we’re in for from these Warriors this upcoming season.
The points came pouring in for the Golden State Warriors. The ball moved fluently and it led to an open three for either Curry, Thompson, or Durant. They looked like the dynamic team that we’ve seen for the past two seasons, only this time, the big 35 is playing alongside them at the small forward position. It’s still taking some time getting accustomed to seeing, but Durant seemed like he was adjusted already. Despite his sub-par performance in their first preseason game, last night alongside his 21 points, Durant also added 7 rebounds and 7 assists. It’s still only preseason, but after watching that game last night, it’s hard not to get over-joyous about this team.
