The NBA ushered in a new year with yet another exciting week of basketball, including some incredible moments from John Wall, LeBron James and Marcus Smart. This week’s top-five plays are capped off by the Chicago Bulls’ Jimmy Butler, who scored 40 points in the second half of his team’s 115-113 win over the Toronto Raptors on Sunday afternoon.
Butler’s outburst bested Michael Jordan’s longstanding franchise record for points in a half, one that was notched in 1988 when Jordan dropped 39 points in the second half of a game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
