Mo Williams was scorching hot against Indiana on Tuesday night.
Just the other day my friend Manny and I were discussing who would have the first 50-point game of the NBA season. I can’t recall who his guess was, but I firmly believed that Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry would be the first player to have a 50-point outburst.
Well I was WRONG and if you supposed that Minnesota Timberwolves guard Mo Williams was going to be the first to tally 50 points in a single game this year, you should forever be remembered as a prophetic figure in the world of NBA basketball.
During Minnesota’s 110-101 win over the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night, Williams completely spazzed out, going for a career and franchise-high 52 points.
Williams’ surprising eruption snapped a 15-game losing streak for the T’Wolves, and also broke Amar’e Stoudemire’s record for most points by an opposing player in Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Congrats on the big night Mo!
