If there’s one thing we know about Klay Thompson, it’s that he’s a huge proponent of mammoth scoring quarters. If you don’t believe me just ask the Sacramento Kings and now the Los Angeles Lakers, as Thompson lit them up for 22 first-quarter points in the Dubs’ 109-88 Tuesday night shellacking of L.A.
My favorite thing about Thompson is that his confidence doesn’t waver. His green light glows so vibrantly, and you’ll never see that thing flicker because it’s always stuck “GO.” The Warriors may need more of this from Thompson going forward, as superstar backcourt mate Stephen Curry grapples with a shin injury that could reportedly take a month to heal, although the reigning MVP intends to play through it.
