The Lakers have been plagued with a plethora of injuries this season. They have lost the likes of rookie big man Julius Randle, Kobe Bryant, and Steve Nash due to season ending injuries. The list keeps getting longer.

The Lakers organization announced on Tuesday that Ronnie Price would be scheduled to have surgery. Head coach Byron Scott had this to say about the injury:

“He’s having elbow surgery tomorrow, so he’ll be out for the year.”

The Lakers have had various players take over the starting point guard roll this season. Jeremy Lin took the spot from Price before he eventually lost it to Jordan Clarkson due to poor play.

This might be trending towards the end of a career for Price. This isn’t the first big injury of his career, and he isn’t getting any younger. Price was averaging 5.1 points, 3.8 assists in 22.8 minutes per game this season.
