Darren Collison has been playing the best basketball of his NBA career this season with averages of 16.1 points and 5.4 assists per game. With George Karl as his new coach, it was expected to see Collison flourish even more in his offense. Sadly, they might have to wait to see him shine. About a week ago, it was reported that Collison would be out with a hip injury.
Now the news keeps getting worse, as it may be a season ending injury for Collison. Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports tweeted about the news:
While a decision isn’t final, sources say there isn’t much optimism of Kings guard Darren Collison (hip flexor strain) returning this season

If the season is over for Collison, it looks like Ray McCallum and Andre Miller will take hold of point guard duties. The season is a forgetful one for the Kings as they are still sitting 11 games out of the final playoff spot in the western conference.
