New York Knicks In Running For Kevin Durant

Last night, there was a reason the last place Knicks beat the Oklahoma City Thunder by 8, Kevin Durant did not play. Over the last couple days, there has been some rumblings and talks of Kevin Durant taking his talents to the city that never sleeps during his 2016 free agency.

Frank Isola of the New York Daily News had this to say about the issue:

“The Knicks are in play. No question about it,” says a person close to Durant. “Kevin loves Carmelo (Anthony). It could work in New York. But never rule out the Thunder.”

This situation could be bode well for the Knicks. They have to start recruiting him now if they want to make a real run for him. The way things are trending in New York, no big star would want to sign there. They must  put a better roster around the team, and create some cap room if they want to make a push. Some other teams that I think are in the running for Durant are the Wizards, Washington D.C. being Durant’s hometown, the Lakers and the Raptors.
