College basketball has been weird this year. It’s certainly been fun, but confusing. Top teams are going down night after night and some of the best players we know that can hoop are struggling to dominate. One player who isn’t having such a problem is Myles Powell.

Seton Hall’s star guard is putting up some historic numbers and just eclipsed 2,000 points for Seton Hall today against St. John’s. He might very well be the best player in the nation at this point.

Other players that come to mind that have an argument as the best player are Jordan Nwora, Cassius Winston, and Payton Pritchard among others. None are playing as well as Myles Powell has been this year though. He is doing it against some of the best teams in the nation too.

Today, Myles Powell got off to a rough start and only had 6 points on 2-9 shooting in the first half. In the second half, it was a completely different story. He was hitting clutch shot after clutch shot and was aggressively taking the ball to the rack.

The one thing about Powell is his ability to heat up in a flash. One shot is all it takes to get himself going and then Powell is making shots that other players simply dream of making.

Myles Powell finished with 29 points and 6 rebounds on 11/20 shooting from the field including 3 three pointers in Seton Hall’s win. Powell has been on a tear and will continue to lead Seton Hall as they will most likely find their way inside of the top 10 this upcoming week.
