With all the injuries the Cleveland Cavaliers have dealt with this postseason, the spotlight has moved down the bench and landed on Matthew Dellavedova. The Australian born point guard is a scrappy player who responds well to LeBron James fiery on the court attitude. His style of play has drawn attention from a former NBA Champion.

Starting in Games 2-4 of the NBA Finals, Dellavedova averaged 38 minutes, 13 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3 assists per game. His best defensive game was in Game 2 when he forced Steph Curry to shoot 0-8 from the three-point line and broke every screen to get in his face. His best offensive game was in Game 3 when he scored 20 points and seemed to be diving on the court for every loose ball.

During Game 4, every time a camera scanned the crowd, Cavaliers fans would be wearing “Delly” t-shirts and Dellavedova jerseys. At one point, Dellavedova passed Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and Michael Jordan in jersey sales making him #1 in sales.

People may be buying his apparel, but can they spell his last name? The video below tests how well Cavaliers fans know their team. This is hilarious! Spelling Dellavedova on the spot is tougher then you think.

The nickname “Delly” is much easier to spell and the nickname Matthew Dellavedova will have forever. By the end of the Finals, everyone will know how to spell “Dellavedova.”
