Jamal Crawford is arguably one of my favorite basketball players ever. From his innovative handle, and the cool/calm demeanor in which he goes about his business, it’s a shame he hasn’t had as much playoff success as he deserves. Ever the humble vessel, he’s supplied the Greater Seattle Area with NBA Quality basketball ever since the beloved Sonics skipped town for Oklahoma City. A product of Seattle’s famed Rainier Beach High School, Jamal has been his own man since; setting Ann Arbor on fire in his lone year in Wolverine Maize and Blue, followed by his early years as a Bull and Knick. Jamal’s been a fan favorite at every stop, and it’s easy to understand why. His passion resonates no matter the situation.
The All-Time leader in 4-point Plays, as well as one of three players (Bernard King & Moses Malone are the others) to have 50-point games on three different NBA teams, Jamal Crawford has cemented his place in NBA History forever. His 15.7 PPG career average is not bad for a guy who’s suited up for 6 teams and has played for as many coaches as I have sneakers. From the S.Dot’s on his feet that made the cypher complete, to his sleek Brand-black brand, Jamal Crawford has always been cool like how he be cool (peep the Paid in Full reference).
