There’s no excuse why basketball fans shouldn’t be fully aware of Devin Booker by now. He had a standout rookie season with the Phoenix Suns and has the kind of goods to be considered the next upcoming star shooting guard.

Booker went for 34 points and 5 assists, 3 rebounds and 3 steals against the Portland Trail Blazers in three quarters and 30 minutes of action. Portland won the preseason contest on Friday night, but Booker was outstanding, shooting 16-of-23 from the floor. More impressive was how he scored the ball, making strong finishes at the rim, creating all kinds of separation, and absolutely cooking in the mid range out of the pick and roll game.
