It has been an up-and-down season for the 28-16 Los Angeles Clippers, who currently sit fourth in the Western Conference. For fans of the team, it won’t get any easier.
ESPN sources tell @ramonashelburne and I that Blake Griffin has suffered suspected broken hand in undisclosed team-related incident
— Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) January 26, 2016
ESPN reporter Marc Stein broke the news late last night that star forward Blake Griffin, who has already not played since Christmas Day due to a quad injury, broke his hand at some type of a team-function. Griffin was believed to have been close to a return from his torn quadricep injury.
While it’s still unknown what exactly this function was and how the injury occurred, there’s been plenty of speculation that there is some type of bizarre story behind it.
It’s also unknown how bad the injury is. Without knowing what hand Griffin broke and the extent to which it was fractured, it’ll be difficult to set a timetable for his return.
