Welcome to The Passing Game, where we simply take the time out to glorify the dimes being thrown all around us.

Two passes that stood out from the NBA last night came from forwards — Nikola Mirotic of the Bulls and Draymond Green of the Warriors.

Mirotic rebounded his own miss here and drew two defenders (Gerald Green’s fault for doubling the ball) and found a diving Pau Gasol with a nice overhead hook pass for a layup.

This pass from Draymond isn’t as subtle. If you watch this develop, Klay Thompson’s brush screen for Shaun Livingston on the wing worked as false action. Danny Green plays on the topside of Klay, which ends up burning him, because Draymond made the perfect read. On the reversal from Speights he darted an overhead two-handed bounce pass to lead Klay right to the rim.
