Anthony Davis’ NBA season is over. He is out with a torn left labrum that has been bothering him for a while.

Over the last three years, Davis averaged over 20 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocks per game. His season ending early gives him the time to protect his future. Davis may lose $24 million, but he will make millions more in his NBA career.

The big question remains about the 2016 Olympics. Davis has already shut down the idea.

Davis will have to wait until the 2020 Olympics to represent Team USA. He is upset over missing the games.

“I loved playing for Team USA,” Davis said. “It was one of the toughest decisions.”

Davis needs 4-5 months of recovery time to be ready for the 2016-2017 NBA season.

Team USA is now down to 29 finalists. They are,
