After a timeout called by Rick Carlisle, point guard had some vulgar words for his head coach. The two had a very heated exchanged and Rondo was benched for the final 20 minutes of the game.
Tim McMahon of ESPN Dallas tweeted this about the situation:

Despite Rondo being sidelined because of the dispute, the Mavericks were able to overcome a nine point deficit and win by seven. This is not the first time Rondo has been benched. It’s clear the two parties have differences of opinions, but the Mavericks keep on winning which out weighs these situations much more. The Mavericks are currently sitting pretty as the fifth seed in the western conference.
