The Lowly Los Angeles Lakers continued their losing ways Wednesday night in Orlando, as they fell to the Magic 101-99 on a buzzer-beating turnaround jumper from Nikola Vucevic.

Vucevic, who had missed three games in a row due to a bone bruise in his right knee, hit up the Lakers for 18 points and five rebounds off the bench, and it was his tough shot over the outstretched arms of Roy Hibbert that clinched the win for the Magic.

In addition to Vucevic’s strong outing, Orlando guard Shabazz Napier had himself a night, dropping a career-high 22 points, including five made three’s.

As for the Lakers, they are now 1-7 with a trip to Dallas on the horizon. Kobe Bryant has not played in the Los Angeles’ last two games due to what LA is describing as a back injury, and his status for Friday’s game against the Mavericks is uncertain.
