Kobe Bryant showed us he still has some left in the tank as he dropped a season high, 38 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves to end the Lakers’ 10 game losing streak. The Black Mamba was feeling it, knocking down 7 treys and scoring 14 of the Lakers’ final 18 points. CLUTCH! Following the game, everyone but Kobe seemed surprised about his performance.

“You’ve seen it for 20 damn years, what do you expect?”

The one person that took this loss the worst was Timberwolves coach, Sam Mitchell. Let’s not forget, Mitchell was the coach of the Toronto Raptors just 10 years ago when he was on the unfortunate end of a good thrashing from Bryant’s 81 points. Ever since that night, he’s had a grudge towards Kobe and I don’t blame him because I would to if I let a guy drop 81 points on my team. But after Bryant came through in the clutch and helped dig out this win for the Lakers, it brought back that excruciating pain in Mitchell’s heart.

“I hate him.”

“If I don’t ever see him again, it will be too soon. I hate him.”

It was a great win for Los Angeles and a vintage performance by Kobe Bryant. For die-hard Lakers fans all across the globe, we look forward to nights like this and we hope to see more in the future.
