During the 1st quarter of the Brooklyn Nets’ home game against the Houston Rockets on Monday night, Nets big man Kevin Garnett got into a squabble with Rockets center Dwight Howard that resulted in Garnett being ejected from the contest. Both men were assessed a technical foul, but Garnett was tossed for throwing the ball at Howard and then head-butting him. Howard responded with a slap, but the refs refrained from hitting him with an additional technical foul because his flail was open-fisted. Take a look at the tussle below:
Howard has been picked on often this season, being called “soft” by Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant and a “p****” by Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant. Add Garnett to the list of players that have exchanged pleasantries with Houston’s big man.
