The whole “#KD2LA” movement hit a bit of a snag tonight, as Kevin Durant’s Oklahoma City Thunder decimated the Los Angeles Lakers 118-78. It’s not like anyone really thought Durant would end up in Kobe Bryant’s shadow of Los Angeles anyway, but this showing of how far the Lakers have to go until they’re legitimate title contenders definitely didn’t help their case.
Not only did the Thunder dominate one of KD’s least likely landing spots in free agency next summer, but Durant himself continued to show that he is completely back from his injury riddle 2014-2015 campaign last season, dropping 22 points and 8 rebounds.
The most impressive points came on this crossover drive against the Lakers budding star Julius Randle, who for some reason thought it would be a good idea to cover Durant one-on-one. Things didn’t go so well for Mr. Randle.
Kevin Durant is ridiculous. https://t.co/LEHHP2kihK
