J.R. Smith made his presence felt in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals last night scoring a career-playoff high 28 points and shooting 8-for-12 from three.

Smith lit up at the top of the fourth quarter with his usual barrage of step-backs and difficult shot-making. He would give the Cavaliers a double-digit lead with his shooting spree while LeBron James on the bench. Smith’s eight three-pointers were a Cavs franchise record and it was his 14th game with 8 or more threes, which is an NBA record.
