The NBA Trade Deadline has come and gone and some big name players have been dealt (like Andre Drummond) while others have stayed put. One non star that didn’t get dealt today is Tristan Thompson.

The Cavs decided to trade John Henson and Brandon Knight to acquire Andre Drummond. So, now where does Tristan fit in? Well, as reported by our Scoop B, there may not be a place for Tristan in Cleveland:

The Celtics and Heat are both two interesting teams that he could land on. As Scoop mentioned later on, there may not be a more interesting team than the Rockets given their need for a big at the moment, but there does not seem to any traction there at the moment.

Boston could use more of a defensive presence in the paint, while Miami is continuing to look for some veterans to pair with their star young core. It makes more logistic sense for Boston given the fact that Miami already has Bam Adebayo and Udonis Haslem to mentor him.

We’ll see what comes of this, but don’t be surprised to hear if Tristan Thompson finalizes a buyout with Cleveland shortly.
