According to BlazersEdge, Robin Lopez fractured his hand on a rebound in the Blazers’ game Monday night against the Spurs.
The announcement came from the Trail Blazers on Monday night that Center Robin Lopez broke his hand on a rebound in the third quarter of their game against San Antonio. Backup Joel Freeman and Thomas Robinson took over the minutes for Lopez when he exited the game, and it looks that they’ll be getting the bulk of the minutes until he comes back as well.
In a postgame interview LaMarcus Aldridge and Damian Lillard had this to say about losing Lopez:
Aldridge said, “I don’t like it, I don’t like it, I don’t like it. I can’t get past that I don’t like it”. Lillard added, “I don’t even want to have to think about playing without RoLo”.
There have been a couple reports saying he broke his hand in two places, but we won’t know until he gets evaluated tomorrow. For now, Coach Stotts stated that Lopez would be out “a while.”
Terry Stotts said Robin Lopez fractured his right hand and will be out "a while." Lopez has not missed a game in a #Blazers uniform.

At least Lopez is still upbeat and making a joke out of the situation.
Two positives:
1. We got a deep squad
2. Lots of love from the chicks#IGotThisWrasslinABear #NeverSayDie #RIPCITY pic.twitter.com/D68bEXsdpV— Robin Lopez (@rolopez42) December 16, 2014
UPDATE:
