According to Igor Mello of CBS Sports and Brian Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel, former Denver Nuggets coach Brian Shaw said he would absolutely be very interested if or when the Magic coaching job opens.
Brian Shaw, former guard of the Orlando Magic, was fired by the Denver Nuggets during his second season. The Nuggets went 36-46 under Shaw in his first season, but then only managed a 20-39 record this season before he was shown the door.
Orlando fired Jacque Vaughn in February, and they now have James Borrego as interim head coach until the end of the season. Borrego is seen as a candidate for the head coaching job, but Magic general manager Rob Hennigan isn’t expected to make a decision until the offseason.
