Pau Gasol led Spain to the EuroBasket quarterfinal round of eight by dominating Poland with 30 points and 7 rebounds on 6-for-7 shooting from three. Gasol and Spain will play Greece in the quarterfinals.

According to EuroHoops.net, Pau took a risk playing in this game. He was reportedly in pain beforehand and was told by doctors not to play more than five minutes at a time. Gasol played 31 total minutes and against the doctor’s advice. He clearly played well and was moving fine, so maybe the adrenaline of helping Spain qualify for Rio in 2016 helped Gasol to overcome the pain and torch Poland en route to an 80-66 win.
