It just seems so unfair to think of. It just doesn’t seem like it can happen, but it very well can. Kevin Durant to the Warriors is a very real option at the moment, and one NBA GM seems to think it is very likely to happen.
Vincent Goodwill of CSN Chicago:
Had dinner with a GM a couple weeks back. Talking summer free agency plans while watching an GSW game. Mentioned Ezeli/Barnes (1 of 3)

I said “they’re not letting them go. It’s not like they’re getting KD”. The GM raises turns and said: “what makes you so sure?” (2 of 3)

Me: “How good is GSW’s chances?” The GM said “they’re the leaders in the clubhouse.”

These tweets all seem to be a FWIW situation. NBA general managers do have the inside ear that most people in the outside world don’t have. It really isn’t possible for the Warriors to be in the clubhouse because they are on the same even playing field as every other team until July free agency starts. It’s going to be a fun summer to watch all of this unfold.
