Report: Kobe Bryant will play in BIG3 next season, says league co-founder

Kobe Bryant will play in the BIG3 league next year.

On today’s weekly BIG3 conference call, the league’s co-founder, Jeff Kwatinetz shared that a source familiar with Bryant’s thinking shared with him that “Kobe Bryant will play in the Big 3 next season.”


Bryant, who turns 40 on Friday was the subject of a weekend viral postgame rant in which former NBA player and current BIG3 star, Stephen Jackson begged Bryant to join the league saying:

“please come to this league.”

Bryant, the 13th pick in the 1996 NBA Draft out of Lower Merion High School in Ardmore, PA, spent 20 years with Los Angeles Lakers and earned five NBA championships during his career.
